Nella splendida edizione 2010, sabato 24, in mezzo al tanto basket giocato, sono stati ricavati due significativi momenti dedicati alla Solidarietà. Si è trattato di due brevi e intensi istanti che gratificano il Comitato organizzatore ben più del record di 1000 presenze della serata finale.
Al termine del primo tempo della finale master tra Old Basket Venezia e ABC Junior San Marco, il presidente della formazione del Centro Storico Guido Seno ha donato un contributo di 300,00 euro all'associazione onlus ORIZZONTI SPORTIVI ( www.orizzontisportivi.it. ). Like all Venetians basketball players should know, for some years the association, headed by Stefano Bizzozi coach, who was also present at Sestieri, is active in developing countries, particularly in Cameroon, in order to conceive, create and sustain sports projects in African countries.
At the end of the evening before the ceremony, the Tournament Committee of the districts has called on the "track" of skating Mario Ferro, Venetian friend basketball player, among other things caposestiere and player-Murano San Marco in the very first edition of the tournament, and especially pediatric surgeon estimated that, annually, does not fail to lend its valuable expertise in the areas of the developing world. We hope that these small gestures of solidarity become more and more tangible and, in particular those targeting young people less fortunate.
