PETIZIONE DELLE SCUOLE A NAPOLITANO
last meeting of the Committee, the Assembly had decided to write two letters, one to the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic, accompanied by a petition, asking them to put pressure on the Economy and mimistro Finance and Parliament on the whole, in order to safeguard the budget item in order to ensure the free textbooks for elementary school children and students from disadvantaged families, no longer guaranteed by the new law of stability (that we know as Finance) .
As you know, the letters were written and compiled in their final version taking into account, as usual, the comments of all and were finally ready to be disseminated to the collection of signatures by class representatives.
In the meantime, however, our committee of parents, like those of many other schools across Italy, was contacted by the Committee of Parents of the Comprehensive Montezemolo in Rome, which coordinates with Retescuole collecting signatures for a petition to President Napolitano, asking him, as the guarantor of the right to education enshrined in the Constitution, to replenish the funds withdrawn from public school with Article 64 of Law 133 of 2008 and to prevent cuts to the school under the new maxi-amendment to the Budget for 2011 (compared to an expected increase in funding for private schools instead.)
